Mrs. Jennifer Lenz, Principal

I absolutely love being a member of the Jacobs Road Elementary School family! I am starting my sixteenth year as an elementary school principal, and my fifth year as principal of Jacobs Road. Overall, I have been an educator for 26 years. I’ve attended Virginia Tech, George Mason University and Johns Hopkins University, earning a B.S. in Psychology, an M. Ed. in Special Education, and a post-masters in Administration and Supervision. I am currently pursuing my doctorate from Virginia Tech.

My husband, Brad, and I have five children: Maddie (22), Mallory (20), Jack (18), Britt (16) and Maryn (16). Our oldest daughter is at Virginia Tech, the college where I met her dad. We are a huge VT family, and we love our HOKIES! Mallory attends JMU so occasionally you can hear me cheering “Go Dukes!” When I’m not at work, I like to spend time with my family and friends, read a good book, check out a good movie, or watch Netflix!

I truly love my job, and I believe my purpose is to support students, families and teachers. Your children will quickly become my children in my heart! It is a great honor to be trusted by you to take care of your baby! I will always do my best to work hard and partner with you to make sure that Jacobs Road is the BEST place to grow and learn!

Your feedback and opinions matter to me. Please do not ever hesitate to reach out to me.

Brittney Boone, Assistant Principal

I am excited about the opportunity to join the Jacobs Road family as your Assistant Principal! This is my first year in this role and it is my honor to serve you. I am a graduate of Chesterfield County Public Schools and am excited to continue my journey in education with this school family. I have been in education for 12 years and have worked at A.M. Davis Elementary and Greenfield Elementary both as a classroom teacher and STEAM teacher. Most recently I’ve served the last two years as a Behavioral Intervention Support Specialist for Chesterfield covering 14 elementary schools. I earned my Bachelor’s from Virginia Tech in Apparel, Housing, and Resource Management, a Masters from Radford University in Curriculum and Instruction, and later completed my Education Specialist degree in Education Leadership and Policy Studies at Virginia Tech.

I am blessed to have a wonderful and supportive family. My husband and I have two sons, Rowan (10) and Walker (just born this year!). You’ll often find me spending time on the soccer field and at the beach in the Outer Banks with my parents. We are a proud Virginia Tech Hokies family and look forward to football season each year!

I share the value of educating every student, every day. I hope to help create a school environment that helps foster students’ love of school and education! I believe we are not only educating our children for today but for their future. I am excited to help our students set goals, work hard, and celebrate their success! I can’t wait to work with our Jacobs students and get to know each of you personally. Please know that I have an open door policy and invite your celebrations and concerns. It takes a village to champion our students and I want to provide the best support to them I can. You can always reach out to me at 804-674-1320 or you can email me at I’m looking forward to a year of learning and growth and I am proud to be a Jacobs Road Jaguar!
