Gilbani Feliciano-Lugo, Principal

I am thrilled and honored to become a member of the Jacobs Road family and serve the children of this beautiful community as principal! The 2024-2025 school year will mark my 18th year in education. I am a graduate of the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico, where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, and the University of Virginia, where I received my Master's in Administration and Leadership. I joined CCPS as a world language teacher at Alberta Smith Elementary School, where I taught for 11 years. In 2018, I obtained my first administrative position as the Dean of Students at Elizabeth Davis Middle School. I then continued my journey in leadership as Beulah Elementary’s Assistant Principal for two years, followed by proudly serving as Marguerite Christian Elementary’s Associate Principal for the past three years.

In addition to my role as an educator, I am also a proud wife and mother. I was born and raised in Puerto Rico and have resided in the Midlothian area since 2007. My husband Rodney and I have two children, Rodney and Diego. As a family, we enjoy playing and watching basketball, especially the LA Lakers and UVA Cavaliers, and love spending time with our French bulldogs, Domino and Nova. I look forward to introducing my family to the many wonderful people that call Jacobs Road “home.”

I am eager to partner with students, families, and the community in our #JaguarsJourneytoSuccess to continue the tradition of excellence at Jacobs Road Elementary! Please do not hesitate to reach out to me. You can call me at 804-674-1320 or email me at gilbani_feliciano@ccpsnet.net.

Brittney Boone, Assistant Principal

I am excited about the opportunity to join the Jacobs Road family as your Assistant Principal! This is my first year in this role and it is my honor to serve you. I am a graduate of Chesterfield County Public Schools and am excited to continue my journey in education with this school family. I have been in education for 12 years and have worked at A.M. Davis Elementary and Greenfield Elementary both as a classroom teacher and STEAM teacher. Most recently I’ve served the last two years as a Behavioral Intervention Support Specialist for Chesterfield covering 14 elementary schools. I earned my Bachelor’s from Virginia Tech in Apparel, Housing, and Resource Management, a Masters from Radford University in Curriculum and Instruction, and later completed my Education Specialist degree in Education Leadership and Policy Studies at Virginia Tech.

I am blessed to have a wonderful and supportive family. My husband and I have two sons, Rowan (10) and Walker (just born this year!). You’ll often find me spending time on the soccer field and at the beach in the Outer Banks with my parents. We are a proud Virginia Tech Hokies family and look forward to football season each year!

I share the value of educating every student, every day. I hope to help create a school environment that helps foster students’ love of school and education! I believe we are not only educating our children for today but for their future. I am excited to help our students set goals, work hard, and celebrate their success! I can’t wait to work with our Jacobs students and get to know each of you personally. Please know that I have an open door policy and invite your celebrations and concerns. It takes a village to champion our students and I want to provide the best support to them I can. You can always reach out to me at 804-674-1320 or you can email me at Brittney_Boone@ccpsnet.net. I’m looking forward to a year of learning and growth and I am proud to be a Jacobs Road Jaguar!
